KAMPALA, UGANDA – Full Figure, well known by her real name Jennifer Nakangubi, and Charles Senkubuge have been rendered jobless after their popular Salt Television programme “Omusunsuzi” was ordered taken off the air by a directive from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The suspension of the program was announced in a public notice dated Saturday, 13th September 2025. The action comes after the Commission found the show to be in serious breach of national Minimum Broadcasting Standards.
The UCC stated that its decision followed a period of routine monitoring and was prompted by numerous complaints from the public.
The Commission’s findings revealed that the programme, which airs on weekdays from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, consistently contained abusive content, featured inappropriate language, and showcased unprofessional conduct by its presenters.
A significant point of concern for the regulator was the show’s timeslot, which falls during morning hours when children are likely to be part of the audience, potentially exposing them to this unsuitable material.
Acting under the authority of the Uganda Communications Act, Cap. 106, the UCC has issued a strict set of directives to Salt TV. The broadcaster has been ordered to immediately halt the airing of “Omusunsuzi.”
Furthermore, the station must provide written responses to the complaints received by the UCC and submit complete recordings of every episode broadcast between August 1, 2025, and September 12, 2025.
Salt TV has been ordered to hand over the programme’s script and all requested materials to the Commission for review by the deadline of Friday, September 19, 2025.
The future of the program hosts, Full Figure and Charles Senkubuge, with the station remains entirely uncertain and is contingent upon the outcome of the UCC’s ongoing investigation and any subsequent decisions made by Salt TV management.
