The Chairman Kabale Municipality Traders’ Association (KMTA) Michael Byamungu Turyamureba Rwasabutare says the countrywide initiative says the Consultative Meeting will on 29th April 2025 be held at Kirigime Guest House in Southern Division Kabale Municipality.

Mr. Byamungu says the meeting is to highlight the key challenges faced by traders across Kabale District and Suggest solutions to the challenges and create a United strategy to improve business and commerce in the Kabale Trading Community.

Byamungu noted that UNATA will later compile a comprehensive report that will be presented to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, highlighting both the challenges and the practical recommendations from traders across the nation.

He quoted spontaneous rent increases, taxation awareness gaps, lack of industrial parks as the common challenges affecting traders in Kabale municipality. He also pointed at international hawkers masquerading as Investors, lack of public services in key cities, youth unemployment and lack of skills and expertise are other common Traders’ challenges.

Byamungu further called upon all traders in Kabale to embrace the Consultative Tour for their own benefit.
