Speaking at the commissioning event in Kyetobokyeire Cell, Kijuguta Ward, Northern Division today, Airtel Uganda’s Sales Director, Wongani Muthayi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and supporting economic transformation through reliable connectivity.

“These new sites are part of our continued investment in expanding network coverage and improving digital access in the greater Kigezi region. Connectivity is more than just a service, it is a gateway to cross-border trade, education, business growth, healthcare, and financial inclusion. For Kabale to thrive as a hub of commerce and innovation, a strong, reliable network is essential,” Muthayi stated.

He added that the new sites would enhance coverage, improve call clarity, and provide faster internet speeds.

Airtel Uganda’s Manager for Public Relations and Corporate Communications, David Birungi, highlighted the direct benefits of the new network sites for local businesses, students, farmers, and families, enabling them to stay connected and leverage digital opportunities to improve their livelihoods. He also cautioned residents against vandalizing network infrastructure, as such actions could disrupt connectivity in the area.
