The donation included mama kits, bar and liquid soaps, sanitary napkins, gloves, and bathing soaps for use in the maternity ward.

According to IGABU SACCO General Manager Lillian Niwagaba, the donation is part of the SACCO’s efforts to give back to the community and appreciate people who have embraced its savings and financial services.

Niwagaba said the initiative had previously been extended to Comboni Hospital and Nsiika Health Centre IV before reaching Rubaare Health Centre IV.

The SACCO’s Board Chairperson, Julius Mutahunga, encouraged community members to embrace a culture of saving, saying it was an important step towards achieving their personal and financial goals.

“We encourage all community members to embrace a culture of saving because it is an important step towards achieving your personal and financial goals,” said Mutahunga.

He urged residents to join IGABU SACCO through its various branches and outreach services, including the Rubaare outreach. IGABU SACCO Kagarama Branch Manager Diana Kinahairwe commended members from the Kagarama Branch and Rubaare outreach for joining the SACCO.

She also encouraged more people in the community to take full advantage of its savings and loan services, noting that these services are designed to improve members’ financial well-being.

“We sincerely commend our members from all the branches and the outreach for joining the SACCO. I encourage more people in our community to take full advantage of our savings and loan services, which are designed to improve members’ financial well-being,” said Kinahairwe.

Kinahairwe thanked the management and staff of Rubaare Health Centre IV for embracing the SACCO and pledged continued support to the community.

The health facility’s in-charge, Dr. John Wycliffe Barinda, thanked IGABU SACCO for the donation, describing the gesture as uncommon and greatly appreciated.

The Igara Buhweju Tea Farmers SACCO (IGABU) started operations in 2018 in Bushenyi District before expanding its services to other districts.
