Teachers told to double their efforts in ensuring better performance in schools.

KISORO: The Kisoro District inspector of Schools Mr. Emmanuel Mbonyebyombi has implored Teachers to work hard for learners to achieve better results at the end of the Cycles.

Mbonyebyombi was addressing School heads and teachers from government aided primary schools within the District during a one day training organized by Schools and Teachers Innovating for Results (STIR) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

The training was held today 6th June 2024 at Nyakinama seed school in Nyakinama sub county Kisoro District under a theme creating a safe learning environment in Schools.

In his remarks inspector of Schools Mr. Mbonyebyombi said that teachers have to cooperate with learners in a way of motivating them for better results at the end.

“When teachers cooperate with learners, there will be a good motivation in class, thus improvement in results in examinations.” Said Emmanuel Mbonyebyombi.

He encouraged teachers to work hard and assured them that the education department of Kisoro District is ready to support both head teachers and teachers in all ways.

The Kisoro Municipal Principal Education Officer Emmanuel Sabiti Mugema said that they are expecting more results from teachers as they are being equipped with new skills on how to handle learners in classes.

Mugema added that they are working hard to change the habit learner’s poor performances especially in all government aided schools within the district.

Mr. Geoffrey Mfitumukiza the training coordinating center of Gisorora who doubles as a lecturer at Kabale-Bukinda Core Primary Teachers College said that training of teachers will enhance favorable behavior and techniques especially when handling learners.
