Development of School infrastructure in Rubanda District hits 90% to completion

RUBANDA: The ongoing Construction and renovation of the sole state classrooms and multipurpose halls from selected schools in Rubanda district have reached 90% nearing completion.

This was discovered during the monitoring of the ongoing projects on Wednesday by the District Chairperson Hon. Ampeire Stephen kasyaba Campaigned by other Heads of departments from the District.

The monitoring exercise started at Kitagyenda Primary school where the District is constructing a three classroom block worth 150 million, Proceeded to Bubare Secondary School where a Girls dormitory worth 150 million is being constructed.

The further went to Nyamiringa Primary school in Bubare Sub County where 150 Million were allocated to renovate the dilapidated building which has been housing infant classes and the Head teacher’s office both at a verge of collapsing.

Mr. Mucunguzi Nicholas the Nyamiringa Primary school Deputy Head teacher said that the dilapidated buildings had started scaring away the teachers and Pupils with the situation likely to worsen during rainy seasons.

While at Nangaro Primary School where a three classroom block worth 150 is being constructed the officials discovered that the dilapidated building housing primary one block had just collapsed down.

The further proceeded to Bufundi College Kacerere where a multipurpose block worth 300m is being constructed before heading to St. Charles Lwanga SS in Muko sub county where a multipurpose block worth 200m is being constructed.

The LC V Chairperson Stephen Kasyaba told this reporter after the monitoring exercise, that they have been able to do a great job with the full support of the State Minister for Finance General Duties Henry Musasizi.

Stephen Kasyaba added that the Hard Working Team of the leaders from the district have contributed much in seeing these projects reach this far thus calling upon the peoples support when need arises.

The Hamurwa Sub County LC V Female Councilor Hon. Marry Bebwajuba attributed New Transformation of Everything in the District to a Cooperation between the District and the State Minister for Finance General Duties.
