RUKIGA – The wife of a religious pastor who allegedly pays men for sex was caught red-handed at a lodge in Rukiga District, where she had been waiting for her scheduled male companion.

The shocking incident unfolded on Thursday, June 25th, at Vision Jointex Bar and Lodge, located along the bustling Kabale–Ntungamo Highway in Kakatunda, Bukinda, Muhanga Town Council.
The aggrieved husband, Pastor George Nafayo, said that what began as a routine day of provision turned into a devastating betrayal when his wife, Evidence Orishaba, left their home at midday, requesting money for children’s clothes at the Bukinda weekly market.
Trustingly handing over the cash, Pastor Nafayo was unaware of the scheme unfolding until a tip-off from locals confirmed long-held suspicions linking his wife to a man from Maziba Sub-county, prompting him to act.
After hearing that the two had been seen together at the market, the pastor’s worst fears were confirmed, and he swiftly followed the trail, only to discover that the shopping trip had been abandoned entirely.
In a cruel twist, he found that his wife had instead checked into a room at Vision Jointex Lodge with the alleged lover, using the very money meant for their children’s clothing to pay for the illicit rendezvous.
Pastor Nafayo swiftly mobilized officers from Bukinda Police Station and a group of local residents to serve as witnesses. On arrival at the lodge, the team reportedly found Orishaba inside one of the rented rooms.
The alleged male companion managed to flee the scene, leaving the pastor to confront his wife alone. However, the deepest wound came when Nafayo realized the lodge room had been paid for with the very cash he had entrusted to her for their five children’s clothing.
“I gave her money for our five children’s clothes. Instead, she used it to book a room for adultery,” a visibly pained Pastor Nafayo narrated.
He further detailed a history of alleged financial and marital distress, claiming that his wife’s actions have not only broken his heart but have also crippled his family’s businesses.
Pastor Nafayo recounted selling land worth a staggering 19 million shillings in a bid to salvage one of their struggling enterprises, a business he says is now on the brink of collapse again due to mismanagement.
To substantiate his claims of infidelity, the pastor presented audio recordings retrieved from Orishaba’s mobile phone, which he alleges contain conversations coordinating the illicit meeting with the cattle trader.
Upon confrontation, Orishaba stated that her actions were in retaliation for what her husband had allegedly been doing to her, though she declined to elaborate further, leaving the public to speculate on the details of her counter-accusation.
Police officers at Bukinda Police Post swiftly arrested the woman and mounted investigations into the matter, though as of press time, no formal charges had been filed.
The once-private family affair has now become a public spectacle, highlighting the fragility of trust and the devastating consequences of hidden secrets within a marriage, leaving many shocked.
