NTUNGAMO – The South Ankole Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Nathan Ahimbisibwe, has challenged clerics to emphasise dual-sided Bible teachings to provide a rich and balanced buffet of the Gospel to their flocks.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Bishop Ahimbisibwe said on Sunday May 24th during the installation of Ven. Rev. Kiiza Moses Mwesigye and his wife as the first Archdeacon of Ruyonza Archdeaconry, held at St. Andrew’s Church of Uganda, where 105 Christians were confirmed.
Ruyonza Archdeaconry serves as the 14th archdeaconry in the South Ankole Diocese after it was carved out of Rugarama and Rubaare Archdeaconries and comprises Kakanena, Kamahuri, and Ruyonza parishes.
Bishop Ahimbisibwe noted that the dual-sided approach helps Christians gain both spiritual and actionable knowledge, which are everyday tools for Christian life.
The Bishop, flanked by his wife, Mama Lillian Ahimbisibwe, urged the congregation to be faithful to God and patient because God’s timing is always perfect.
He hailed Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana for supporting faith-based projects in the Diocese. Bishop Ahimbisibwe was assisted by Diocesan Secretary Rev. Canon Alfred Turyamureeba, Dean of St. Matthew’s Cathedral, the Very Rev. Canon Joram Akoragye, among other priests.
The newly installed Archdeacon of Ruyonza, Ven. Rev. Kiiza Moses Mwesigye, and his wife Dorcus praised God for using him to serve His flock as the first Archdeacon of Ruyonza.
Ven. Rev. Kiiza Moses hailed all Christians and committees for their unity, cooperation, and achievements, including coffee planting and the preaching of the Gospel.
On behalf of Hon. Mwesigwa Rukutana, his wife Esther Nyakato congratulated Ven. Rev. Kiiza Moses upon this milestone of being installed as the new archdeacon.
