Speaking to this reporter while celebrating the results, Head Teacher Rev. Sr. Joserose Mpirirwe praised her students for their excellent performance, attributing it to discipline, guidance, and hard work.

She applauded the dedication of parents and guardians whose sacrifices have paved the way for their daughters’ success, calling it a noble endeavor with far-reaching benefits for the community.

Sr. Joserose reinforced the message that supporting girl-child education is not just a personal duty but a vital catalyst for the progress of families and society as a whole.

Rubirizi District achieved a remarkable performance in the 2025 UCE exams, with St. Thomas Vocational School, Kicwamba High School, Ndekye Senior Secondary School, and St. Michael High School emerging as the top four schools in the district.

The Head Teacher of Ndekye SS, Tumuramye Alex Mabwindi, attributed the success of his school to the collective efforts of teachers, parents, old students, the Board of Governors, students, and the community.

Mabwindi encouraged students to strive for higher education for a better future and urged parents to support their children’s learning.

He emphasized that education is an investment in families and a key to success because it can help individuals overcome poverty, ignorance, and domestic violence.

Meanwhile, Asimire Genuine and Nayebare Anita, candidates who sat for their S.4 exams in 2025 at Ndekye SS and Maria Girls respectively, attributed their success to their parents, teachers, and their own hard work.

The students thanked their parents for their support and urged others to follow suit, stressing that self-motivation, discipline, and respect for teachers and parents are essential for academic success.
