KAMPALA, UGANDA – A joint operation by sister security agencies has recovered 6-year-old Juviline Mpirwe Tumwesigye, who was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Kawempe Division a week ago.

Reliable sources indicate that the ordeal began on the afternoon of 12th December 2025 in Ddungu Zone, Kawempe Division, when the family’s shamba boy, one David Muchunguzi, left with young Mpirwe and did not return.
Distraught father, Dr. Emmanuel Tumwesigye, promptly reported the kidnapping at the Universal Police Post, triggering an urgent, multi-agency search operation.
Onyango revealed that a meticulous analysis of the suspect’s TikTok videos provided critical clues, enabling investigators to trace David Muchunguzi’s movements and ultimately locate the child.
“The swift and tech-savvy work of our teams, utilizing all available tools, was instrumental in this successful recovery. This highlights our commitment to employing diverse methodologies to ensure public safety,” stated Onyango.
The Police Spokesperson added that after the successful recovery operation, the child is in stable condition and, after a standard comprehensive medical examination, was joyfully reunited with her parents.
SP Onyango emphasized that efforts to apprehend the suspect, David Muchunguzi, are ongoing and intensifying, expressing confidence that he will be brought to justice.
The public is urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest security authorities.
