KABALE, UGANDA – Police have confirmed that sufficient personnel have been deployed to ensure peace as National Peasants’ Party (NPP) presidential candidate Robert Kasibante begins his campaign tour of the Kigezi sub-region.

His itinerary will then proceed to Rukiga and Rubanda districts on Wednesday, October 15, concluding in Kabale and Kisoro on Thursday, October 16, barring any unforeseen changes.
In a press briefing, Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate assured the public that comprehensive security arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth and orderly campaign exercise.
“We expect NPP presidential candidate Robert Kasibante to start his campaign program in the Kigezi region today, beginning with Rukungiri and Kanungu districts. I can confirm that sufficient deployments in these districts are already in place for a smooth exercise,” Maate stated.
Maate further called for continued public vigilance, urging all citizens to act within the law to preserve order throughout the campaign period.
The police’s proactive communication underscores a commitment to preventing electoral violence and ensuring the political process continues without disruption as candidates campaign.
