However, he also expressed deep concerns over the brutality and violence inflicted on Ugandans by security forces during the ongoing campaigns for the Kawempe North by-elections.

Speaking during the Ash Wednesday Holy Communion Service at Parliament, Kaziimba emphasized the need for civilians to maintain peace and not provoke security forces.

He also called for a review of the approach used by security forces when quelling and dispersing civilians, arguing that the current level of brutality is unjustified.

Kaziimba’s remarks were welcomed by legislators and staff of Parliament, with Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa extending gratitude to the Archbishop for his words of encouragement and blessings.

The Archbishop’s message serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining peace and upholding human rights during the electoral process.

It’s worth noting that Kaziimba has been vocal on various issues affecting the country, including politics, social justice, and morality.
