In a heartwarming ceremony held on Wednesday at Rubare All Saints Church in Ntungamo, the top performers received gifts, including metallic suitcases, books, pens, bed sheets, and sizable mattresses.

According to Mr. Onesmus Karamuzi, the chairperson of the board of governors, the Sacco’s gesture is a way of giving back to its members and supporting them in both joyful and challenging times.

However, he noted that terms and conditions apply, emphasizing that only pupils who attained grade one with an aggregate score of eight and below were eligible for the awards.

Karamuzi explained that giving gifts to school-going children aims to motivate pupils to work harder and achieve even better results in the future.

The chairperson added that the awards also serve as a form of subsidization for parents, helping them purchase scholastic materials.

The Ntungamo District Commercial officer, Mr. Ezra Aryanyijuka, and Mr. Fred Muhinda, a parent and the Rubare business community chairperson, praised the Sacco’s board members for their unwavering support to members.

Aryanyijuka urged the pupils to remain determined and focused, advising them to avoid peer groups that might hinder their academic progress.

Kahinda Francis, one of the beneficiaries, promised to work hard and maintain good grades throughout his secondary education.

This gesture by Kyabukuju Twimukye Sacco demonstrates the organization’s commitment to supporting its members and promoting education in the community.
