According to the police, the suspect on Run has been identified as Ashraf Kiiza, an employee at Bashir Grain Millers in Nateete Ku Taano on the outskirts of Kampala.

In a video footage captured on CCTV camera on Monday at around 8 PM Kiiza attacked a business man one Sam Turyamuhaki with a machete and a hammer which he walked in with, packed in a sack.

Kiiza was seen placing a sack on the waiting chair as Sam (the Victim) was counting money unbothered from which Kiiza (the attacker) picked a machete from the sack and ordered Sam Turyamuhaki to surrender the money he was counting.

Turyamuhaki attempted to grab a panga from Ashraf Kiiza but missed it in the process from which Kiiza descended on him, and hacked him on the head attracting the intervention of other people who overpowered him and eventually escaped.

The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed that Turyamuhaki sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the nearby health facility for quick medical attention.

Owoyesigyire added that Kiiza fled and is currently on the run and that the police have deployed all the possible means to have Kiiza arrested to face charges of attempted murder, and aggravated robbery.

The Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson further urges anybody with information on the whereabouts of Kiiza Ashiraf to forward it to the police.
