Kiconco, who is also vying for the Rukiga County Member of Parliament seat, made a grand entrance at the Rwamucucu Subcounty Headquarters, walking in a jubilant procession with hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. Many of them, including recently elected members of the NRM electoral college, had gathered outside his residence near Rushebeya Trading Centre to accompany him as he moved to the Polling Station.

The subcounty NRM registrar, Mr. Henry Kamugisha, confirmed Kiconco’s victory after no other candidates presented themselves for nomination. As a result, he was declared the winner unopposed.

Later, while addressing supporters at his home, Counsel Kiconco expressed heartfelt gratitude for the unchallenged endorsement. He pledged to serve all constituents equally, promising to work toward inclusive social-economic transformation in Rukiga District. He also urged fellow NRM leaders to intensify efforts in the upcoming general elections to ensure party dominance at all levels.

“This is not just a win for me but for the people of Rukiga District who believe in unity and progress. I am committed to serving you with integrity and without discrimination,” Kiconco stated.
