NRM Primary Elections in Bukinda Sub County: Ezra and Allen Emerge Victorious

Rukiga, Uganda – The Bukinda Sub County National Resistance Movement (NRM) Primary Elections have concluded, with Ndyamuhaki Ezra and Hon. Tumwijukye Allen emerging victorious.

Ezra emerged as the unopposed Sub County NRM Chairperson after other aspirants withdrew from the contest.

Meanwhile, Hon. Tumwijukye Allen Kirasha secured the Bukinda Sub County Vice NRM Chairperson seat with 93 votes, defeating Nkurunungi Felix, who garnered 6 votes, and Ndamurira Alex, who received 0 votes.

Hon. Bob Atwine secured the Bukinda Sub County NRM Youth League Chairmanship seat, garnering 15 out of 20 votes from eligible youth voters and defeating his contender Joel, who received 5 votes.

In a post-election interview, Ezra Ndyamuhaki expressed satisfaction with the electoral process, stating that the party’s system is functioning smoothly and gaining more support ahead of the 2026 general elections.

He highlighted the party’s efforts to engage grassroots people in leadership choices, citing the involvement of various leagues, including women, youth, elderly, and people with disabilities.

“The NRM Party Primaries are proceeding smoothly, with different categories of people being elected based on their respective leagues. This process will help prepare our people and garner more support ahead of the 2026 general elections,” Ndyamuhaki Ezra said.

Hon. Bob Atwine thanked the youth for their organization and pledged to elevate their voices and integrity and expressed his ambition to stand for the Youth MP Western seat and advocate for marginalized youth.

Other leaders elected include Byamugisha Geoffrey as Bukinda Sub County NRM Secretary, Musinguzi Andrew as Publicity Secretary, and Simuka Annet as Sub County NRM Treasurer.

The elections demonstrate the NRM’s commitment to inclusive leadership and grassroots engagement, with various categories of people participating in the electoral process.
