Residents in Mitoma District worried over the increased insecurity within the community.

MITOOMA: Residents in Kyenkuku parish in Mitooma Sub County Mitooma District are living in fear over the increased insecurity within the community.

This follows a number criminal cases witnessed in the recent days including the recent one where unknown individuals set ablaze a house of Godious Taremwa for a yet unknown reason.

Godious Taremwa, a resident of Kenkuku village, Mitooma Sub County/District was shocked after he found his house on fire as he came from watching a football match yesterday 24th April 2024 at night.

He confirmed to this reporter that when he returned home, he saw an open door with a broken paddock with too much smoke coming from inside as all his properties worth millions of money turned to ashes.

“As I was coming from watching a football Match, I found my house seriously burning. I was unable to enter because the smoke had covered all the house, my properties were all burnt to ashes” said Godious Taremwa.

The area LC I Chairperson Mr.Charles Magara, appealed to the residents to always report people living and working at their homes so that they can know their way about.

Charles urged people to pass through rightful channels in resolving issues affecting them in their places ahead of them seeking proper guidance from the relevant offices.
