According to the ministry’s data, a total of 19 confirmed Ebola cases have been recorded nationwide, including 14 imported cases and five Ugandans who contracted the virus.
In a positive development, four patients have successfully recovered and been discharged from treatment facilities, while 13 remain in admission.
The Ministry also confirmed that the three new cases are contacts of previously confirmed patients who had already been under institutional quarantine, a measure that has helped limit further spread.
Tragically, the outbreak has recorded one death: a Congolese national. The Ministry of Health has expressed its deep condolences for the passing.
