Rukiga MP Elect Patrick Kiconco Katabazi, Canon Henry Turyagyenda, and Mrs. Enid Turyabagyenzi, who were appointed as godparents/guardians, received the dedication certificates on behalf of the Christians of St. Peter’s Kitanga Church of Uganda Parish.
Bishop Akanjuna reminded the congregation that the church dedication service signifies that the building has been set aside solely for activities that serve God’s purposes. He cautioned against using it for anything that might tarnish its reputation.

In his sermon, the Bishop also warned the newly confirmed Christians against relaxing their Bible-reading habits, emphasizing that they risk sliding back into unchristian practices.
“Do not stop seeking to know God, because knowing God is a continuous journey. If you think you have known enough, then He ceases to be your God, because His knowledge surpasses full human understanding,” Bishop Akanjuna stated.
