The Archbishop presided over the silver jubilee marriage celebration of Bishop Dan Zoreka and Mama Flora Zoreka on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Nyakatare, located in the Diocese of Kinkizi.

Archbishop Kaziimba remarked that he was impressed by the newly renovated cathedral, describing it as a magnificent and clear testimony to the believers’ teamwork and commitment to God’s work.

He emphasized that the revamped spiritual center is “magnificent” and stands not merely as a physical structure, but as a powerful testament to the collective dedication and unwavering commitment of the faithful.

“This beautiful cathedral is far more than a building; it is a clear testimony to what can be achieved when a community of faith comes together in teamwork and dedication to God’s work,” the Archbishop stated.

He also referred to Bishop Dan Zoreka as a ‘miracle Bishop,’ a title inspired by his unprecedented election on a Wednesday and consecration the following Sunday a record that remains unbroken.

In his address, Bishop Zoreka reflected on his journey, acknowledging that his life and diocesan leadership have been marked by both challenges and triumphs.

“It has been by God’s grace and the support of the people that we have been able to move forward,” he said.

He expressed profound gratitude to all who had contributed in ways both great and small to the success of his leadership and pledged to continue guiding the diocese toward further development.

The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, underscoring the couple’s esteemed standing. Among the guests were prominent bishops, including Prof. Sheldon Mwesigwa, Amos Magezi, Reuben Kisembo, Godfrey Mbitse, Nathan Ahimbisibwe, and George Bagamuhunda, as well as the former Prime Minister of Uganda, the Rt. Hon. Amama Mbabazi.

The jubilee not only celebrated 25 years of marriage but also highlighted the remarkable growth of the diocese under a leader whose journey to the pulpit is regarded as nothing short of miraculous.
