He also called on parents to prioritize their children’s education as a means to combat ignorance, illiteracy, poverty, and domestic violence within communities.
“To truly break the cycles of poverty and build a prosperous future, we must recognize that education, when firmly coupled with strong moral values, is the fundamental key to sustainable development in our communities,” stressed Hon. Buturo.
In a gesture promoting political unity, Hon. Buturo commended Hon. John Ntamuhira for conceding the recent NRM primaries and not running as an independent candidate.
Hon. Buturo issued a compelling appeal for all electoral rivals to unite behind common development goals, immediately backing his words with action through a personal donation of UGX 2 million to support the event.
Newly ordained Rev. Fr. Nkahebwa Julius pledged to promote religious and vocational callings in Rubirizi, committing to mobilize youth toward priestly studies while emphasizing their importance for spiritual and community development.
“The sacred duty of a priest is to guide souls, preach love and unity, and help bring people closer to God. My calling has been strengthened through life’s journey, and I share this milestone with everyone who supported me” emphasized Fr. Julius.
Rev. Fr. Laurence Mwesigye, Deputy Parish Priest of Rugazi Catholic Parish, highlighted the ordination as a major blessing for the parish, which has now produced over 20 priests from Rubirizi.
Mr. Tumusiime Vincent Bamugaya, Director for Economic Monitoring and Research in the Office of the President, contributed over UGX 10 million to help purchase a vehicle for Fr. Julius.
