The graduates were awarded Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) certificates, a nationally recognized certification.

The training, conducted between 2023 and 2024, took place at various centers, including Mubano Hotel, Kisoro Progressive Secondary School, and the former Kisoro Primary Teachers College.

The graduates acquired practical skills in vocational areas like mechanics, tailoring, carpentry, and farming, equipping them for diverse career paths.

The graduation ceremony, held at the offices of LC1 and LC2 in Kisoro Municipality, was attended by the graduates, who expressed gratitude for the initiative.

Many reported that the training transformed their lives, enabling them to provide for their families and pay school fees.

Dr. Leo Mfitimana, who brought the PACEID initiative to Kisoro District, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to create sustainable livelihoods.

He explained that PACEID was established in 2019 by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to foster development and recognize the importance of hands-on skills.

Dr. Mfitimana urged the graduates to form organized groups to attract support from local and international partners.
