Organizer Grant Promoter revealed that the event aims to revive the lost cultural norms and values of the Ankole and Kigezi regions, which have been eroded by modernization and foreign influences.

Grant Promoter emphasized the importance of preserving the region’s cultural identity, particularly among the younger generation.

The carnival will showcase traditional dancing styles, comics, singing, and other cultural talents. He rallied cultural dancers and talented individuals from the Ankole and Kigezi regions to participate in the event.

The Ankole kingdom, located in southwestern Uganda, is known for its rich cultural heritage, including its long-horned cattle and traditional clothing.

The kingdom was abolished in 1967, but efforts are being made to revive and preserve its cultural practices.

The Ankole cultural carnival promises to be an exciting celebration of the region’s cultural heritage, with traditional music, dance, and comedy.
