This call was made by Rev. Fr. Peter Alwangi of Rushooka Catholic Parish during the Thanksgiving Mass of Ntungamo Girls High School Rwentobo, held in the school’s main hall in Rushenyi County, Ntungamo District.

He advised the girls to shun evil acts, such as accepting gifts from men, saying these actions are full of temptations that can jeopardize their future. Rev. Fr. Alwangi encouraged them to pray to God and concentrate on their studies to be delivered from the bondages of sin.

Rev. Fr. Alwangi commended the directors of Ntungamo Girls High School Rwentobo, Gumisiriza Justus Keishaari and Constance, for organizing the Thanksgiving Mass to testify to the school’s good performance every year. Keishaari and Constance appealed to all believers to always thank God for His endless blessings.

Keishaari revealed that the thanksgiving Mass was held to show appreciation to the Almighty God for the exceptional performance in the Ordinary and Advanced levels of education, particularly the 2024 UCE results.

The head teacher, Constance Tusingwire Nalongo, hailed the directors for starting the school, which has fostered academic progress in the country.

She thanked the school administrators, teachers, and non-teaching staff for their hard work and encouraged them to always strive for excellence.Tusingwire rewarded the best-performing teachers with gifts.

Ntungamo Girls High School Rwentobo has consistently excelled in academics and discipline in Ntungamo District since 2012.The school scored 1st position at O-level examinations with the highest number of A’s and B’s in 2024.

Other speakers at the event included Tumwebaze George, PTA chairman; Nayebare Treasure, an S.5 representative; and Ahimbisibwe Frank Mary, chairperson of Kateero Hiika Catholic Church.
