Kampala, Uganda – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) leadership has convened a caucus meeting to address pressing national issues.

The meeting, scheduled for February 21, 2025, at State House, Entebbe, comes on the heels of a Supreme Court ruling that nullified some sections of the UPDF Act as unconstitutional.
This development has significant implications for the country’s military and governance structure.
In preparation for the meeting, NRM MPs and independent NRM-leaning legislators are undergoing mandatory COVID-19 testing at Parliament Conference Hall B.
The testing, which began on Wednesday and will conclude on Thursday, aims to ensure the safety of all attendees.
The caucus meeting will provide a crucial platform for discussing the NRM’s stance on the UPDF Act amendment and budget priorities, with far-reaching consequences for Uganda’s development and governance.
