Ntungamo, Uganda – Prospective MP for Rushenyi County, Ambrose Kyenjoga, has urged the Ugandan government to address the pressing issues plaguing essential sectors, which are hindering the benefits to the intended recipients.

Despite efforts to alleviate poverty under President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s leadership, Kyenjoga notes that significant shortcomings persist in various sectors.

Kyenjoga, a staunch NRM supporter and former councillor representing Rubaare sub-county, emphasizes that the government’s inattention to these crises will undermine the NRM’s manifesto.

He highlights the agriculture sector, where farmers struggle to find markets for their produce, resulting in minimal profits.

To mitigate this, Kyenjoga suggests introducing irrigation schemes to counter climate change effects and ensure farmers can irrigate their crops.

In Ntungamo district, farmers face significant challenges due to inadequate markets and poor road infrastructure, despite the president’s emphasis on agricultural projects like the four-acre model.

Kyenjoga also underscores the need to address gaps in service delivery in sectors like water, education, and health.

To alleviate the burden on Ugandans, Kyenjoga proposes exempting tax on water, considering its essentially to human life.

This, he believes, would provide relief on expenditure and improve the overall well-being of the people.

As an aspirant, Kyenjoga vows to prioritize development in his designated area, building upon the progress made by incumbents.
