President Museveni flags off a team of Uganda’s athletes to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.

KAMPALA-UGANDA: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has flagged Uganda’s team of 25 athletes to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France scheduled to take place from July 26th to August 11th.

Accompanied by the First Lady, also a Minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataha Museveni the President cautioned the team to exhibit discipline, sportsmanship, and magnanimity.

Gen. Yoweri Museveni also urged the team to use the given opportunity to build a character of resilience, emphasizing that sportspeople do not give up until they win thus wishing them a safe travels and good luck.

Representing the Uganda Athletics Federation, a team of Athletes includes officers from Uganda Prisons Service including; Cpl Wdr Stephen Kisa – 42km Marathon, Cpl Wdr Esther Chebet – 5000M race, Wdrss Chemutai Belinda – 5000M race, Wdr Tom Dradiga – 800M race.
