RUKUNGIRI, UGANDA – The Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture, Peace Rugabwa, handed over 12 Toyota Noah vehicles to the chairpersons of the “Boona Bagaigahare Nyekundire” group in 12 districts across the Kigezi and Ankole regions.

The event also launched the “Team Peace” door-to-door mobilization campaign for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the Ankole and Kigezi regions.
Additionally, Rugabwa handed over a motorcycle to the chairperson of the same group in each sub-county within those regions.
She urged the district chairpersons to use the vehicles for door-to-door mobilization ahead of the NRM elections. She also advised the sub-county chairpersons to use the motorcycles for the same purpose.
Rugabwa called upon NRM leaders and members to demonstrate patriotism and love for the country, urging them to stop creating division among the people.
She emphasized public unity and door-to-door mobilization as key to winning the elections. Furthermore, she advocated for the establishment of an industrial park in Bwambara Sub-county.
Beneficiaries, including Collins Mumpe, the group’s chairperson for Mitooma District, and Gerald Ahena, the chairperson for Isingiro District, expressed their gratitude to Peace Rugabwa for her support.
They pledged to monitor the members of the “Boona Bagaigahare Nyekundire” group and to mobilize support for the NRM, stating it is the only way for the party’s flag bearers to win the upcoming general election.
