The RDC said this while engaging the media team yesterday Friday, at the Kisoro District Headquarters on matters concerning the District’s security as schools break for the 1st Term holiday.

Hajji Badru Ssebyala said parents are always put under pressure to pay coaching fees in the shortest period of the Holidays as his office has been receiving complaints in the past over the matter.

He further encouraged parents to receive and take good care of their children during holiday, engaging them in doing domestic activities and educating them on how to demonstrate prosaically and moral behavior.

According to the Ministry of Education and Sports, in the 2024 school calendar, the second Term is slated to commence on 27th May 2024 to 23rd August 2024 and last for 89 days.
