Speaking on the importance of accountability, Kamateneti emphasized that conceding defeat and facilitating a proper transition is crucial for maintaining development momentum in constituencies.

Kamateneti stressed that transparency and long-term planning should take precedence over short-term gains, noting that many leaders’ refusal to accept election results has hindered both democracy and effective governance.

“Losing an election does not mean the end of service; leaders can still contribute in other capacities and I pledging her support to Viola Namanya Buruko, the newly elected National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the Ntungamo District Woman MP seat,” Bata said.
