NTUNGAMO – The lifeless body of a man was found lying on a bed in a lodge during the day in Ntungamo district, moments after he drank two bottles of Guinness beer and went to rest.

The manager of Amahoro Bar and Lodges, Niwamanya Bruce, shared that the guest arrived around 10:00 AM, purchased two bottles of Guinness beer, and then went to his room to rest.
He added that the discovery of the lifeless body sent a profound shock through the entire team, leaving every member heartbroken and deeply unsettled.
Milton Ndebesa, the LC1 Chairperson of Rubaare Cell, who is also the chairperson of all Rubaare chairpersons, said the incident has raised fresh worries over safety and guest registration at local bars and lodges.
He added that the tragic event is a clear reason why bar owners need to keep proper guest records and for all businesses to work closely with security forces to prevent future tragedies.
“This tragic incident shows why bar owners must keep good records of their guests. We ask all businesses to work closely with security forces. This will help prevent such events and keep the public safe,” Ndebesa noted.
By the time of this report, police were still cordoning off the entire premises of Amahoro Bar and Lodges as they carry on investigations to determine the real cause of the tragedy.
