The club confirmed the landmark rebrand in an official notice issued on Wednesday, August 26, stating that the legal and administrative processes have been finalized in full compliance with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

The change takes immediate effect, with the club now operating under its powerful new moniker. All rights, assets, contracts, player registrations, and affiliations have been permanently transferred to SC Volcanoes.

The club has proactively assured supporters, partners, and stakeholders that operational continuity remains fully intact, with every existing commitment and contractual obligation being diligently honored under the new banner.

Leadership has passionately described the rebrand as a genuine reflection of the club’s soaring aspirations, deeply held core values, and ambitious long-term vision of strength, resilience, and relentless energy.

The rebrand arrives at a pivotal juncture, with SC Volcanoes having clawed its way up through Uganda’s competitive football pyramid and now gearing up for the demanding FUFA Big League campaign.

The Volcanoes’ new identity is widely seen as a psychological and strategic reset, a declaration of intent to make a lasting impact in the second tier of Ugandan football.

Director of Communication Stephen Muneza signed the official notice and hailed the change as a collective victory and a renewed promise to fans, partners, and the people of Kisoro.

“This is not just a new name; it is a renewed promise to our fans, our partners, and the people of Kisoro. We are building a stronger, more professional institution, and we invite everyone to join us on this exciting journey,” Muneza stated.

The club has extended a heartfelt appeal to supporters, sponsors, and the wider football fraternity to rally behind SC Volcanoes as it embarks on this fresh chapter, with the Big League on the horizon and a clear message that the Volcanoes are awake and ready to erupt on the pitch.

The flames of a new legacy have been lit, and SC Volcanoes is determined to channel that fire into glory, urging the entire football community to stand united as the team prepares to make its mark and erupt with passion and purpose.
