The elegant White Horse Inn in Kabale Municipality hosted the glittering event, which drew a distinguished assembly of civic leaders, business magnates, and development partners from across the Kigezi region.
The venue came alive with color and camaraderie as Rotarians from District 9213 and beyond converged in large numbers to witness the milestone 4th Presidential Installation.
The evening celebrated not just a leadership transition but also a renewed commitment to humanitarian service and the shared vision of creating lasting change in communities.
Rotarian Paddy Patrick Mwesigye was officially installed as President for the 2026/2027 Rotary Year, pledging to deepen the club’s impact through service, fellowship, and community transformation.
Hon. Baryayanga underscored the club’s vital role in bolstering local healthcare infrastructure, from constructing hospital buildings and upgrading critical facilities to financing life-saving medications for patients battling complicated, costly diseases.
The MP emphasized that Rotary’s goodwill extends far beyond health, reaching into education and faith through active support for schools, churches, and numerous other community entities.
“Rotary is not merely about bricks and mortar. When you build a ward, you give a mother safe delivery. When you upgrade a facility, you give a child a fighting chance. When you finance medication for a costly illness, you purchase another sunrise for a hopeless family. Rotary is not constructing buildings; Rotary is constructing hope,” declared MP Baryayanga.
Delivering his inaugural address, President Paddy Mwesigye called for strengthened partnerships and collective action across maternal and child health, education, disease prevention, and environmental protection.
Reaffirming Rotary’s enduring spirit of “Unite for Good,” he celebrated the organization’s unwavering commitment to its timeless motto, “Service Above Self” a rallying cry that continues to inspire meaningful action and transform lives across communities.
“Together, we can achieve more. Let us unite for good, strengthening our partnerships and taking collective action in health, education, disease prevention, and protecting our environment. Our motto, ‘Service Above Self,’ is not just words; it is a promise we live by, a promise that transforms lives and builds hope in every community we serve,” said President Paddy.
The growing footprint of Rotary in the Kigezi sub-region represents a beacon of hope, demonstrating how organized service and community collaboration can drive meaningful change.
