Coach Ochan confirmed that the club is awaiting the completion of playing licenses for the majority of the new arrivals, noting that the players are already training hard as paperwork is finalized.
He revealed that only two of the seven, Emmanuel Ogwang and Derrick Ikooza, have been officially cleared so far, with the rest expected to be available for selection once formal clearance is received from the relevant authorities.
“The players are here and training hard, but we are still finalizing the paperwork. All necessary procedures have been completed by the club. We are just waiting for formal clearance from the relevant authorities, and then the rest will be available for selection,” Ochan explained.
The timing of the squad reinforcement is critical, as SC Volcanoes are set to return to league action on March 10, 2026, with a formidable away test against Kihihi Young Boys at the Kihihi High School Playground in Kanungu District.
With the momentum of a title chase behind them and a strengthened squad at their disposal, the encounter promises to be a pivotal moment in the Western Regional League season.
