KAMPALA, UGANDA – The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has warned head teachers and school directors about fraudsters posing as members of its Security Committee to extort money.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The warning was issued in a press statement dated 23rd December 2025, signed by UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba, detailing how the impostors are making deceptive offers to school administrators.
Kalule Musamba confirmed that the fraudsters falsely promise to help improve candidates’ grades or remove schools from examination malpractice lists.
The Board has strongly cautioned all Heads of Examination Centres at Primary, Secondary, and Post-Secondary levels to avoid any engagement with these individuals.
UNEB further emphasized it does not condone such criminal activities and clarified that its official Security Committee does not operate in this manner.
The UNEB alert comes at a critical period following the recent national examinations, when school administrators may be anxious about their results.
