RUKUNGIRI, UGANDA – The Rukungiri District Probation Officer, Harrison Mukuru, has called on young people to remain productive, acquire business skills, and form development groups to improve their livelihoods and contribute to community growth.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Harrison made the remarks on 11th December 2025 while representing the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) as guest of honour during a youth conference at Rukungiri Revival Mission Church in Omukakabada Cell, Northern Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
He encouraged the youth to form groups within their churches as a means of empowerment and community development.
Harrison also advised them to avoid negative influences and instead engage in meaningful activities that promote household income and reduce harmful behaviors such as delinquency and negative peer pressure.
He emphasized the importance of focus, hard work, and discipline as key steps toward a bright future.

The Bishop of Revival Mission Church in Western Uganda, Grace Michael Okello, urged young people to embrace a spirit of thanksgiving by focusing on positive aspects of life rather than dwelling on negatives.
Bishop Okello emphasized that Christians should maintain unwavering faith in God, avoid constant complaining, and nurture gratitude saying a thankful heart attracts blessings from the Almighty. He added that those who depend fully on God remain steadfast during challenges, confident that their future is secure in Him.
The Bishop also urged youth to work hard, noting that God blesses the work of one’s hands.
Bishop Okello further encouraged young people to preach the gospel to their peers and safeguard peace within their communities, stressing that love, unity, and cooperation are essential for progress.
