The current construction is a pivotal temporary structure, designed to serve the congregation while ambitious plans for a permanent, mega-church building are finalized.
During the inspection, Hon. Ndyomugyenyi made a decisive intervention, announcing the immediate delivery of his earlier pledge of 20 bags of cement to accelerate the ongoing work.
“I commend the construction committee for their tireless and selfless efforts to ensure progress at this site. Their dedication is the engine of this community project, and it is our duty to support them,” stated the legislator.
Bishop Akanjuna, accompanied by the Nyabirerema Archdeacon, Rev. Can. Ven. Manase Turyatunga, offered both spiritual encouragement and tangible assistance.
The Bishop noted that every great church grows from a humble beginning, affirming the temporary structure as a wise and faithful step toward their magnificent planned church.
“Every great house of God begins with a humble foundation and grows with time. This temporary structure is a wise and faithful step toward the magnificent church you have planned,” Bishop Akanjuna said.
He pledged the diocese’s full support for the development and contributed iron sheets for roofing, a critical component to shield the congregation from the elements.
Mr. Kanyarutokye, in a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressed deep gratitude to the visitors for prioritizing the church amidst their demanding schedules.
He confirmed that the church members will celebrate Christmas in their new building, a milestone he said will provide financial relief by ending their rental payments.
“With this momentum, we are confident we will celebrate this year’s Christmas in our own building. This will not only be a spiritual milestone but also a financial relief, allowing us to redirect funds currently spent on rent back into our permanent church project,” Kanyarutokye said.
The visit has injected fresh optimism and resources into the All Saints Church Muhanga project, uniting political and religious leadership in a shared mission to support the community’s spiritual and developmental aspirations.
