President Museveni Campaigns in Kisoro
KISORO, UGANDA – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced plans for the construction of additional major tarmac roads in Kisoro District and other parts of Kigezi, to enhance the mobility of goods and services, fostering development within the region.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!During the launch of the NRM Presidential campaign trail for Kigezi at Saza Grounds in Kisoro, Museveni confirmed several key road projects, including the tarmacking of the Kabale – Bunyonyi – Mugahinga road, Kisoro – Muko road, Katuna – Muko – Kamuganguzi road, and Hamurwa-Kerere – Kanungu road.

He highlighted that the NRM government has already constructed numerous major roads linking Kisoro and the broader Kigezi Sub-region to the rest of Uganda and neighboring countries. These infrastructural developments have played a vital role in accelerating regional growth and integration.
Museveni emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability, urging the people of Kisoro to cherish and protect the prevailing tranquility to prevent insecurity issues that sometimes arise from neighboring borders. He encouraged the community to uphold this stability as a foundation for continued development.
Museveni also shared insights on wealth creation, providing practical tips for residents to expand their household incomes.
“We have been saying that on just one piece of land you can have do poultry farming, coffee cultivation, dairy farming, fish farming, and piggery for none Muslims,” he said.

Furthermore, Museveni pledged to intensify funding for wealth creation initiatives through socio-economic empowerment schemes. He called on the electorate to actively participate in these activities, emphasizing that individual and household efforts are crucial for sustainable economic progress.
