Rukiga District achieved a perfect, 100% turnout of its 2,048 Primary Seven candidates, an unprecedented milestone that signals a resounding triumph for the local education sector.

The Senior Inspector of Schools for Rukiga District, Mr. Christopher Ndyabegyera, confirmed the successful completion of the national exams in an exclusive interview, highlighting the district-wide coordination that ensured zero registered cases of malpractice or interference.

“It’s a positive development that we have seen the climax of this year’s Primary Leaving Examination proceed successfully in Rukiga District. I can confirm that the entire education department in Rukiga District played a vital role in ensuring a smooth exercise,” Mr. Ndyabegyera stated.

He elaborated that the extensive operation covered all 73 examination centres scattered across the district, with every single one of the 2,048 candidates present to write their papers.

Mr. Ndyabegyera revealed that special arrangements were made for eight candidates with disabilities, commending the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) for its proactive support.

He expressed gratitude to the examinations body for dispatching a dedicated team to the district to provide the necessary assistance, ensuring these candidates were not disadvantaged and could complete their exams comfortably and fairly.

The district education office, school heads, invigilators, and security personnel are all credited for their roles in maintaining the integrity and smooth running of the exercise.

The PLE results are anticipated to be released early next year, determining the next academic step for the thousands of candidates who have now completed their primary education.
