The Acting Assistant Town Clerk for Central Division, Kasikyizi Moses, asked the business community to always pay revenue to benefit from government programs.
Gumisiriza Gordon, the LC 1 Chairperson for Cell 6, commended residents at the meeting for their consistent participation in government programs aimed at eradicating poverty.
However, Chairperson Gumisiriza challenged the division leadership for not working on some priority areas, like the drainage system, which he said is a major problem for the business community, especially during the rainy season.
The residents presented a clear list of demands: installing street lights along Banyaji Rd, tarmacking the neglected road, and ensuring the regular collection of waste.
The community participatory meeting was organized by the office of the Town Clerk, Central Division, Ntungamo Municipality, to identify priorities for the locals for the financial year 2026/2027.
