The group has launched the construction of a piggery project worth 7.5 million shillings, funded by Kisoro Municipality hopeful MP Dr. Leo Mfitimana.

According to Collins Musengimana, Chairperson of the Kamonyi A Village Youth Development Group, the project aims to keep the youth engaged and reduce idleness, which can lead to criminal activities or peer pressure.

Musengimana added that it’s the first time a leader has directly approached them with developmental ideas and support, urging youth to stay committed and take ownership of the project.
