The former Rubaare Sub-county LCV councilor and longtime community leader vowed to champion economic, social, and political progress, emphasizing collective effort as the key to sustained development in the region.

Hon. Ambrose made the remarks shortly after being officially nominated at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party headquarters in Kampala to contest in the upcoming party primaries.

Addressing journalists, he highlighted his track record of supporting education, healthcare, agricultural production, market access, and road infrastructure, and outlined his vision for Rushenyi.

Hon. Ambrose expressed confidence in his readiness to serve the people, stating that with the electorate’s trust, he would unlock greater progress for Rushenyi.

“My mission is to lay a solid foundation for this county by ensuring that government programs reach every citizen, especially the youth, women, elders, and persons with disabilities,” Kyenjoga said.

During his campaign trail, Kyenjoga unveiled an ambitious development agenda which includes establishing a banana processing factory to add value to local agricultural produce.

He added that he would advocate for a university and vocational skilling institutions to boost education and employability, while also improving infrastructure, particularly roads and markets, to stimulate trade and connectivity.

Hon. Ambrose Kyenjoga reiterated his commitment to inclusive leadership, urging voters to rally behind his vision, and concluded with a call for unity, stating, “Rushenyi’s prosperity lies in our collective effort – together, we can achieve lasting development that benefits all.”

The NRM primaries, a critical precursor to the 2026 general elections, will determine the party’s flag bearers amid stiff competition from both incumbents and new entrants.
