This was during a pastors’ fellowship held at the Kisoro Christian Centre (KCC) in Kisoro municipality, aimed at preparing for a major conference scheduled to take place from August 24th to 31st, 2025, at Kisoro Primary Teachers College.

Pastor Baluki Thawabo Napoleon from the International Pentecostal Churches in the DRC highlighted the need for prayer and support for his country, which has been plagued by ongoing conflicts affecting its people spiritually, socially, and economically.

“We will use this conference as an opportunity to pray for the DRC and its people, seeking God’s intervention in the midst of challenges,” Pastor Napoleon said.

Bishop Karagire Kaniyusi from Kigali, Rwanda, emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the three countries, stressing that religious leaders have a crucial role in promoting the spread of the gospel.

He also noted that one of the key objectives of the conference is to strengthen Christians’ efforts in preserving and promoting the Rufumbira language, which is closely related to Kinyarwanda.
