Mr. Kabaasa was on Saturday delivering a Keynote address during a soccer gala held at Kandihe Playground in Rubanda town council, Rubanda District. The event coincided with the annual youth conference organized by Rubanda Catholic Parish.

The conference brought together over 700 youth from areas within the Rubanda Catholic parish.

“To participate in efforts that bring you closer to managing the state affairs of the country, you must engage at every level—whether at school, church, or village. This is not just participation; it’s training for future leaders,” Mr. Kabaasa stated stated.

Kabaasa noted that the youth ought to value the impact they would bring in their communities by participating in leadership saying, “Among you are future leaders. Therefore, I urge you to utilize this opportunity maximally and go back to impact many other young people out there.” He underscored the necessity of nurturing young citizens who are not only productive but also grounded in strong values.

In addition, Kabaasa pointed to the critical need for improvement in the education sector, advocating for better learning systems to empower the youth.
