The D/RDC’s remarks were made on Thursday during a farewell ceremony for second-year candidates at Victory International College Institute in Rwakabengo Ward, Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

Ahimbisibwe emphasized that success is a direct result of hard work and unwavering focus, advising students to prioritize education above all else. He specifically warned against the dangers of alcoholism, gambling, and other destructive habits.

He further encouraged students to be patriotic citizens, explaining that patriotism begins with personal responsibility and good conduct, which in turn contributes to nation-building.

He reminded them that reaching the final examination stage is a significant privilege and cautioned them against the pitfalls of early marriage, advising them to instead focus on building a stable future.

The Director of Victory International College Institute, Mr. Fabius Rwenyetsa, emphasized moral uprightness and cautioned students against distractions that could derail their academic progress.

“I urge you to live godly lives. I particularly urge our female students to guard against immorality, substance abuse, and peer pressure. Commit your lives to Christ, and God will guide you. Remember, education is the key to success,” stated Mr. Rwenyetsa.

The institute’s Guild President, Ms. Shallon Kemigisha, thanked parents for their vital support, acknowledging that not all students have such privileges, and promised excellent results in return.

“On behalf of my fellow candidates, I promise the parents, teachers, and the school administration that we will work hard to produce excellent results in the upcoming final examinations,” Kemigisha assured.
