Former Ndorwa West MP aspirant Ninsiima Tracy Immaculate has announced her intention to contest for the Kabale District Woman MP seat.

Ms. Ninsiima, who gave the State Minister of Industry, David Bahati, sleepless nights in the previous Ndorwa West MP election, has already printed campaign posters to notify her supporters about her 2026 Kabale District Woman MP bid. To publicize her candidature, the posters have been pinned on street walls, trees, and business centers across Kabale District.

Ninsiima, a native of Mukarangye Ward in Katuna Town Council, is a known member of the P.L.U group, which supports the presidential ambitions of the First Son and Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba who seeks to lead Uganda after his father, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

In a social media post on  August 1, 2025, shared via a WhatsApp forum named AGAWIIKI, Ms. Ninsiima revealed that her team would be officially launching her campaign in the coming weeks. On the same day, she noted, her first campaign office will be formally opened in Kabale.

“Our campaign puts God first, unity regardless of faith or religion and effective representation above all else. Our communications team will be ready to explain our mission, goals, vision, and manifesto after the launch,” she said.

Ms. Ninsiima was the only female aspirant in the 2021 Ndorwa West MP race, in which she garnered 3,796 votes, coming second to Minister Bahati. She beat other six contenders including Simpson Mpiriirwe, Masiko Gilbert Bigweera, Asiimwe Ronald, and Atuheire Samuel, Agaba Simon and Godfrey Nzana.

She hopes to build on the support she previously received from the people of Kabale District as she seeks votes for the 2025–2026 Kabale District Woman MP race.

In the election slated for February 2026, Ninsiima is expected to face off against incumbent Woman MP Catherine Atwakiire Ndamira and Enid Origumisiriza, who recently won the NRM primary election held on July 17, 2025.

Other women who have expressed interest in the Kabale District Woman MP race include former Ndorwa East MP aspirant Ms. Grace Ankunda Bwesigye, Voice of Kigezi radio presenter Ms. Trust Kyomugisha, and Kampala-based businesswoman Ms. Immaculate Kagwa Nyemera.
