Kyankwanzi, Uganda – Uganda’s Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has encouraged Districts, Cities, and Municipality Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs) to be patriotic and serve their motherland, Uganda, passionately.

The Premier was delivering a lecture to the officers undergoing a leadership course organized by the Ministry of Local Government at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi.

Nabbanja further called upon the CAOs to vigorously launch a fight against corruption in their respective units, describing it as a significant challenge Uganda is grappling with.

“I wish to charge you officers that you need to be patriotic and serve your country, Uganda, passionately. You need to join us, the government, in fighting against corruption at your work units; it’s a significant challenge Uganda is grappling with.” Said Premier Robinah Nabbanja.

Accompanying the Prime Minister, the Minister of Local Government Hon. Raphael Magyezi said corruption in local government is a significant issue in Uganda, a trend that should be fought collectively.

The Premier’s and Minister’s call to action underscores the government’s commitment to tackling corruption and promoting good governance in Uganda.
