NATIONAL: Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defense Forces of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF), arrived in Algiers, Algeria, for military and bilateral meetings.

Gen Kainerugaba was received by top Algerian military officials and is expected to hold talks with General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army of Algeria.
The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Uganda and Algeria.
As the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen Kainerugaba will also meet with other senior military leaders from the Algerian Military to discuss areas of cooperation and mutual interest.
This visit marks an important step in enhancing military cooperation and bilateral ties between Uganda and Algeria.
