KAMPALA, UGANDA – The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, emphasized the importance of giving towards the growth and development of the Church.

Archbishop Kazimba Mugalu challenged the congregation to invest wholeheartedly in the growth of the church, framing it not as a mere obligation but as a sacred duty worthy of their deepest commitment.
He further emphasized that the call for contributions was a profound invitation to strengthen both personal faith and the wider community, uniting the two in a shared mission of spiritual and social transformation.
“This is not merely a call to open your wallets. It is an invitation to build the very foundations of our faith. True discipleship requires us to invest in the growth of this sacred institution, to give boldly, to sacrifice willingly, and to support the initiatives that not only deepen our personal relationship with God but also fortify the bonds of our community,” Archbishop Kazimba declared.
The Archbishop’s message set a tone of devotion and purpose for the service, rallying the congregation around the vision for the new church courts.
The incoming Kabale Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Andrew Aja Baryayanga, attended the service, which was held in a spirit of reflection and devotion, and made a substantial contribution of UGX 5 million towards the project.
The donation was received with great appreciation by the Archbishop and the congregation, underscoring the importance of collective effort in advancing church development.
The event underscored the importance of combining spiritual reflection with tangible action, as the community of St. Andrew’s Church moves forward with its ambitious building project.
