The tournament was held on Sunday, March 29th, 2024, at Nyeikunama playground, featuring 7-a-side football and volleyball competitions, as well as aerobics.

According to Osbert Ikiriza, one of the organizers, the RCL games are scheduled to be held every last Sunday of the month, with teams required to pay a mere 100,000 UGX subscription fee per outing.

He emphasized that the tournament aims to foster social connections, boost market engagement for participating companies, and turn innovative ideas into tangible community projects.

“Our goal is to promote social networking, market participating companies, and build tangible community projects,” said Ikiriza.

The organizers, Smartly Bob and Osbert, expressed their ambition to grow the tournament to rival established corporate leagues in the Ankole and Kigezi regions.

The participating teams included Nira Rukiga, UEDCL Rukiga, Home Boyz Media, Steven Kyaka Hardware, Delick Real Estate Mbarara, and Kamwezi High School Staff corporate teams.

Others were the Kanuga Foundation, Smartly Young Stars, Kamwezi United, Maziba FC Rubale, Bukinda SACCO, Rubare Legends, and St. Mark’s Staff corporate teams.

Organizers confirmed that they aim to promote social networking across Rukiga and beyond, market and deliver brand visibility for the businesses and companies of the participating corporate teams, and build tangible community projects.

They confirmed that they aim to see the tournament grow to rival well-known corporate leagues such as the Mbarara, Kigezi, and Sheema corporate league editions.
